Why farms call a machine shop
Repair beats replace more often than you’d think
On older equipment especially, the replacement assembly is either discontinued, back-ordered, or costs more than the implement is worth. Machining the one part that actually failed is frequently the cheaper and faster answer.

If a part keeps failing in the same place, we can talk about material or design changes that stop it happening again.

Before you call
The part is obsolete and the dealer can’t get it. Can you make one?
That is a large part of what we do. Bring us the old part, even in pieces, and we will measure it and machine a replacement.
Can you repair a PTO shaft rather than replace the whole thing?
Often, yes. Depending on where and how it failed we can repair or replace the damaged section rather than the entire assembly. Send a photo and we will tell you which makes sense.
Do you work during planting and harvest?
We are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year. Those are the weeks this matters most, so tell us it is time-critical when you call.
Can you make the part stronger so it stops breaking?
Sometimes. If a part keeps failing in the same spot, there is often a material or design change that helps. We will say so if we think it is worth doing, and say so if it is not.
Do you weld cracked frames and brackets as well as machine parts?
Yes — welding and fabrication are done in the same shop, so a job that needs both welding and machining is one visit and one invoice.
