Hughes Machine Shop LLC is a machine, welding and fabrication shop in Russell Springs, Kentucky. We are new, we are owner-run, and we would rather earn your trust on a first job than talk you into one.
Who you are dealing with
A real shop, run by the person who answers the phone
There is no sales desk here and no call center. When you ring the number on this site, you get the person who will actually set up and cut your part.
Hughes Machine Shop was opened to do the kind of work that bigger shops treat as an inconvenience: single parts, odd repairs, and the jobs that come with a broken piece instead of a drawing. That work needs somebody who will pick up the phone and think about the problem with you, which is exactly how we intend to run.
We are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. That is not a slogan on a banner — equipment fails at inconvenient hours, and being reachable when it does is one of the few real advantages a small shop has.

Four things we will always do
Quote before we cut
You get a price and a timeframe before any metal moves. If something changes once we are into the job, you hear about it from us before the invoice.
Flag what is driving the cost
If a tolerance or a feature on your print is expensive and is not doing any real work, we will tell you. Whether you change it is your call.
Keep your business to ourselves
Your drawings, your parts and your problems stay between us. Nothing goes on social media without you saying yes first.
Straight answer
Why there are no reviews on this site yet
Because we have not earned them yet. Hughes Machine Shop is newly opened, so rather than pad this page with stock photos and invented quotes, we have left it honest. Judge us on the first job — and if we do right by you, a review afterwards genuinely helps a new shop.
